Light Show on the Mall

Artist Doug Aitken’s “SONG 1” is the “first-ever work of 360-degree convex-screen cinema,” according the the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C. With the help of 13 high definition video projectors, Aitken’s work lit up the entire exterior of the museum every evening from sunset until midnight for 8 weeks this past spring.
